- We provide a confidential service to help people make a claim for Attendance Allowance, Disability Living Allowance and Carers Allowance.
- We can provide benefits calculations to enable access to other benefits such as pension credit or council tax benefit.
- We are able to offer home visits to people who are unable to come into the office for an appointment.
Which Benefits do we help with?
Disability Living Allowance (DLA) is:
- For people who are under 65 who need help looking after themselves.
- For people who are aged 3 or over and have severe difficulty walking, or aged 5 or over and need help getting around .
DLA is paid at different rates, depending on the amount of help needed.
Attendance Allowance (AA) is:
- For people over 65 who need help looking after looking after themselves
There are two rates of AA: Low Rate for people who have needs during the day OR night and High Rate for people who have needs during BOTH day and night.
Carers Allowance (CA) is:
- A taxable benefit for carers aged 16 or over who are looking after someone for 35 hours or more a week (this does not need to be everyday).
- Carers Allowance is not affected by the savings you may have.
